March 20 & 21, 2021
In order to have the safest event possible, we will have two race dates to pick from on March 20 & 21 since Vanderburgh county is currently at the Orange Level. During the registration process, you will pick your race date. If numbers are low on both dates, we will combine and have the event on March 20. If Vanderburgh moves out of the Orange and into Yellow or Blue, all participants will race on March 20. An email will be sent out if either scenario happens.
Start Time/Location: 8:00 AM/Garvin Park for both Saturday & Sunday (23 Don Mattingly Way Evansville, IN)
Course: The approximate 5K course will be an out and back. All participants will start in Garvin Park, go counter clockwise around the lake. Once they reach the Greenway Passage, everyone will take a right and run to the end of the trail and come back the same way.
Cost:
5K Run or Competitive Walk $20 until 2/28/21 then $23 until March 12. (Add $4 to each for Virtual)
**Registration will end on March 12 at 8:00pm. There will be no late registration for this event and no same day sign up.
**Processing fee applied at checkout.
Shirt/Bib pick-up: For both days, early pick-up will be at Ultimate Fit on March 19 from 4:30-6:00pm. If you can't make it to early, then it will be at Garvin Park on race day from 7:15-7:45am (both days)
Awards:

**Virtual times must be submitted via email no later than 6pm on March 20. You will send an email to TriStateFit@gmail.com with a picture of your watch or screenshot of phone.
**Results will be added to this website either Sunday evening or Monday morning.
Timing: For this event, we will use manual timing. Make sure bib is visible. When you cross the finish line your bib # and time will be recorded by a staff member. The final results page will be put together after Sunday's race and posted to this page.
Weather: The race will go on rain or shine both days!
Benefactor: Viking Youth Tennis Program
Additional Info: Thanks to Covid, it is a lot more difficult to host an in-person race. We have all intentions to have an actual in-person event and not a virtual race. Here are a few scenarios of what could happen before the race.
1.) There will be a max of 50 participants on each race date.
2.) If numbers for both days are low, everyone will run on Saturday.
3.) If Vanderburgh County would be in the Yellow or Blue everyone will run on Saturday.
4.) If 10 days out from race day looks like there will be issues for the event due to Covid we will cancel and 100% refunds will go out.
5.) If within 10 days of race day the county goes red and the health department intervenes and denies we can do the event, it will go to Virtual as shirts/insurance/awards/etc will be ordered by this time.
**No refunds will be processed for any participant as all sales are final.
